Forget Me Not Stamp Camp

These are the cards and the card "box" we made at today's stamp camp. After putting the card box together we made dividers for the different card types. Now we were all set to start making cards to add to the box.

This card is a sympathy card I CASED from my stampin' pal Pam. She made this card for me in November when my mom passed away. I thought the card was so clean and crisp looking. I think everyone needs to have a few sympathy cards on hand, as when the time comes when a card is needed, it makes a difficult time easier to get through.

The above card was made using the new Vintage Vogue set from the spring mini catalog. I bought this set in the new clear mount. They are really cool! The stamps are held in the case they come in then as you use them you "stick" them clear blocks and then stamp. When finished you take the stamp off the block and store back in the case. The clear blocks make positioning the stamps on your cards soooo much easier.

The second birthday card we made was this one. My mother in law would have loved it because it is purple. It is made with 2 new stamp sets that YOU can earn for free during Sale-a-bration: Happy Momemts and Whimsical Words. For each $50 order placed you can choose 1 free Sale-a-bration set. What are you waiting for?

Finally, the last 2 cards we made were a thank you and get well card. The get well card uses an old stamp set from SU circa 2005, but I wanted to make this card that holds a cup of soup inside. It will be the perfect pick me up for anyone feeling under the weather.

We missed you at this months stamp camp, I'll be posting information on March's stamp camp with in the next week or so on my Stampin' Up website so check back soon. We'd love to see you there!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend,
Diane

Elmo

This was a quick card I made for a co-worker. She is expecting her first grand-babies. Her son and daughter are both expecting and due within the next few weeks. The son and his wife are having a girl and her daughter is having a boy. So instant grand-babies!

Mariella LOVES Elmo. She said she is going to buy an Elmo to keep at her house for the babies, but I think it is really for her. We had a busy day at work today and whenever she had a tough customer or felt stressed she just looked at the card and felt better. (At least that's what she told me!)

This Elmo punch was cased from several samples on the internet. I did not have all the punch sizes so I used goggly eyes.

Wishing you peace,
Diane

Quick post

I've been working like a maniac for the past week or so on baby shower cards and these last minute Valentine's for my sister Beth. She is so kind and totally feeds my ego by telling me how much she likes my cards. I just mailed her a dozen unique creations today "Priority Mail" so she can get them in time to hand out on Valentine's Day. She may mail a few, and will encourage you to do so also, as she does work for the post office! Love you Beth, hope you like the little extras I tucked inside the box.

Keep safe and warm,
Diane

Baby Shower Invite

I was contacted a few weeks ago by a friend to make some baby shower invites for her sister. Since she was having a boy, I used bashful blue card stock with certainly celery, barely banana and whisper white for accents. The white card stock was run through the big shot with the swiss dots folder. I used lots of layers and pop dotted the giraffe image and scalloped punch circle with the "It's a shower" sentiment. I used my paper piercer and outlined the barely banana card stock.

I think these turned out nicely. They are in the mail now and should be received early next week. I made 56 invitations overall. Took a break from stamping today to rest my wrist. My carpal tunnel has been hurting lately, but tomorrow I have an order for Valentine's for my sister that I need to finish to mail on Monday.

Have a good night!
Diane
