Birthday Card Stamp Camp

Hello all! I had my Birthday Card Stamp Camp yesterday and wanted to share the cards we made with you. We made 5 cards total, one of which is a card I already showed you here.

The first card I have to share is a masculine card made with a stamp from Lovely as a Tree stamp set. I used Always Artichoke card stock embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder for the base. The designer paper on the bottom is now retired, which is then layered with a piece of Very Vanilla card stock using the Eyelet Border Punch. The tree stamp was inked using stampin' write markers then stamped on Very Vanilla card stock. It was then layered on Chocolate Chip and Early Espresso. The card was finished with a corduroy button and Twill Tape for embellishment.

This next card is a CASED card from Maria Cameron. You can see her original card here. I changed 3 things on the card. First I did not have the designer paper she used so I made my own with black card stock and punched white circles. Second I used ribbon for the handles on the purses. And lastly I used an old Stampin' Up stamp from 2005 for my sentiment " To a fabulous purse-on!". Thank you Maria for the card idea. Can you guess what punch was used for the purses? ...... Build a cupcake punch!! Just way too stinkin' creative. I love it!

This card just makes me happy. And did you know it was the one that gave me the most trouble creating it? I sometimes get a creative block. I bet I sat at the table for at least an hour before I came up with this color combination. The stamp set used is a 2 step stamp set called Botanical Blooms.

The last card I have to share is a CASE of a CASE that I borrowed from my upline Penny. She was shown a copy of this card at the leadership conference this year in Nashville. When I saw it at her house I fell in love with it and it's elegance in a monochromatic card. I did not have buttons in Real Red, so I made my own out of card stock and the button die cut. I just layered 4 buttons together to create the depth.

CR84FN Color Challenge with Create a Cupcake!

This week's challenge uses the colors light pink, bright pink and chocolate.

I couldn't resist making another cupcake card with my new Create a Cupcake punch. It just makes it so easy to make a quick and easy card. I wanted to also try a technique my friend Penny taught me at our last demonstrator get together using the paper crimper. I took my blank card and inserted one side into the crimper about 3/4 of the way up and crimped. I just love the look it gives to the card base.

My other favorite item I used on this card are the Basic Pearls from Stampin' Up. I accented the scallops on the Extra Large Scallop Circle punch with the 2mm size pearls. They are a great value also as you get 150 pearls, 50 each size, for only $4.95.

If you are interested in purchasing any of these items, just click on my Stampin' Up logo at the top of this page to shop now. :)

Hope you had a great weekend with a little stamping thrown in!

Create a Cupcake Birthday Card

I just love this card. I used my new Create a Cupcake punch from the new Occasions Mini Catalog. I punched the cupcake holder from designer paper and then ran it through my paper crimper to give it added dimension. Once again I sponged the edges of the card and cupcake to give it a vintage feel. I used the same layout as I used for my cracked glass valentine and it worked really well.

I made this card for a Project Share with my fellow demonstrators on Sunday. Though it has a lot of elements, it was quick and easy to assemble.

Stay warm wherever you are!
